Terms of service
Last updated 2 November 2026
AI Engineering Store sells complete AI engineering projects as private GitHub repositories. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean William Shi, of Hangzhou, China (full address available on request via hello@aiengstore.com), trading as AI Engineering Store. Write to hello@aiengstore.com.
Who takes the payment
Waffo Pancake is the merchant of record for every purchase. Waffo takes the payment, calculates and collects the tax that applies to your order, issues the receipt and handles the tax filing behind it.
The name on your card statement, your receipt and any tax document is Waffo. We never receive or store your card details.
What you are buying
- A single project for $39, one time.
- All-access for $199, one time, covering every project in the store including everything added later.
- Prices are in US dollars.
- One purchase covers the team that bought it. There is no subscription, no seat count, no trial and no renewal.
Prices
The price shown at checkout is the price that applies. We may change prices, and a change does not affect a purchase that has already completed.
The licence you receive
When a purchase completes, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to read, run, modify and integrate the source code in the repositories you were given access to. You may ship products built with it, and you may use it in client work, for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
The licence belongs to the person or organisation that bought it. If you bought it for a company, the company holds the licence, and the people who work there, as employees or contractors, may use the code for that company's own products, internal tools and client projects. One purchase covers the team that bought it, so colleagues do not need a licence of their own.
What the licence does not allow
- You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense or publish the source code outside the organisation that bought it.
- You may not share the code, repository access or archive copies with anyone who is not part of that organisation.
- You may not use the source, in whole or in substantial part, to build something whose purpose is to sell or give away the same projects.
- You may not remove or alter the copyright, licence or attribution notices that ship with the code.
Upstream open-source notices
Some projects in the collection are built on upstream open-source work. Where that is the case, the upstream licence and its copyright notice are reproduced in full in a NOTICE file at the root of that repository, next to a LICENSE file that says which parts are ours.
Those notices stay in place, and these terms do not relicense that material.
Where an upstream licence gives you rights beyond this one for specific files, the upstream licence governs those files.
Delivery and access
Access is delivered as a GitHub invitation. An all-access purchase invites you to the GitHub organisation that hosts the projects. A single-project purchase invites you as an outside collaborator on that one repository.
You need a GitHub account to accept the invitation. If it expires or fails, ask us and we will send it again.
Access is delivered to the GitHub account that made the purchase. Colleagues do not need their own account or their own licence: you may share copies of the code inside your organisation. Do not share your GitHub credentials, and do not move repository access to an account outside the organisation that bought it.
Updates
Lifetime updates means this. Fixes and improvements committed to a repository you can access stay available to you for as long as you hold that access. It is not a promise of a release schedule, and it is not a promise that any particular project keeps being developed.
Refunds
The refund policy is part of these terms and sits on its own page.
Acceptable use
Do not use the projects or the store to break the law, to infringe someone else’s rights, or to attack the store or the people in it.
If you breach these terms
The licence belongs to the account or organisation that bought it. The following are material breaches of these terms:
- reselling, sublicensing, publishing or otherwise redistributing the source code outside the organisation that bought it, including posting it to a public repository or sharing it as a download
- sharing the code or repository access with anyone outside the organisation that bought it
- buying on behalf of another person or organisation that is not covered by the purchase
- using the store or the code to break the law, to infringe someone else’s intellectual property, or to attack the store or its payment systems
- attempting to obtain access to a repository or an entitlement you have not paid for
What happens if you breach them
We may suspend or permanently revoke your repository access and close your account. Where the breach is redistribution, sharing access or an attempt to obtain access without paying, we may also revoke access to every project you bought, not only the one involved.
Where the law allows it, a purchase terminated for one of these breaches is not refunded. This does not affect your statutory rights, and it does not apply where you cancel within a period the law gives you.
We may also report the breach to GitHub, since delivery runs through their platform, and pursue any other remedy the law gives us.
We will tell you what we have done and why, using the email on your account, unless doing so would prejudice an investigation or is prohibited by law.
Availability and warranties
We work to keep the store and repository access available. We do not promise uninterrupted service.
The source code is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it fits a particular purpose or is free of defects. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or a right that the law does not let us exclude.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.
We are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect losses. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page changes with them, and a change applies to purchases made after the new date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes are heard by the courts of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. If you buy as a consumer, you keep the protections and the venue that your local consumer law gives you, and nothing here removes them.
