CompanyBrain is a local-first enterprise knowledge platform where one workspace fronts three retrieval engines. Naive RAG answers evidence-heavy questions with chunking, pgvector embeddings and keyword search fused into a single ranking; GraphRAG answers multi-hop relationship questions through LightRAG entity extraction stored in PostgreSQL with Apache AGE; and the Gbrain engine answers from Markdown pages with chunks, facts and links fused by reciprocal rank fusion.

Each engine keeps its own upload, processing, retrieval and maintenance path, and the platform supplies identity, routing and the workspace on top. The platform API never reads module tables directly — it calls each module’s HTTP API with an internal token — and the agent gateway orchestrates the module MCP servers instead of implementing retrieval itself.

The repository ships a reproducible English demo universe and benchmark: on ten queries against seven documents both vector engines reach Recall@5 of 1.000, and every relationship query returns non-empty graph context. Images are supported as input today, while returning images as citations is still on the roadmap.
